 ABOUT MY STOR

ABOUT MY STORY

Read about the name

Welcome to Weekly Al, the blog site that tells all about you and your fellow South Africans.

I got bombarded with questions about what the reason is for creating Weekly Al and basically it is for you.

The Millennial era can be described as the most unpredictable era in history because of the ridiculous rapid changes in every sector and every corner of the world.

Facing these changes, one can only be asked of how does the generation of this era cope with it and what advice can be given to push forward and survive.

Weekly Al is set to help out the young generation of South Africa to find out from their communities and fellow public figures as to how they adapt to this era and what impact they can make to progress positive change in the country with their own dreams and goals in mind.

As for the name, let me break it down. AL is abbreviated from my second name Almero.

In the early morning hours of May 4th, 1992, my mom and dad decided to bless me with a middle name that belonged to her late departed father and my biological grandfather who I never had the privilege of knowing. Even though he was best friends to my step-grandfather and ex-husband to my biological grandmother, he was still a part of the family and needed to live on not just in our hearts, but also in spirit and his name. I am privileged to carry his name and to use it to in the positive manner that I am doing. One day, I hope that I can tell him the stories of how glad it made me carry on his name.

And as for the “Weekly”. Simple. You will read from my blog once every week about an inspiring fellow South African who aspires to become someone great in his/her own way and the amazing background that created these aspirations.

Follow Weekly Al and read up every week about the stories of what these strong individuals did and how they were able to get where they are now. This is all about sharing your story to commit to the inspiring movement of positive growth, courage and mental strength.

Be inspired to inspire.

Cheers for this week,

WA
